Recipient of the Prix Groupe Edmond de Rothschild at the Sommets Musicaux de staad,

violinist Soo-Hyun Park appears as a soloist,  as well as a chamber musician;

as a member of Abel Quartet throughout Europe and Asia.

Her debut CD with Deutsche Staatsphilharmonie Rheinland- Pfalz under Nicholas Milton released worldwide on Onyx in 2013, received glowing reviews from a range of major publications including The Strad, BBC Music Magazine and Gramophone.

 

She is regularly invited to various Festivals,

such as Kuhmo Chamber Music Festival, Seoul Spring Festival,

Podium Festival in Mödling, Festival di Contrasti, Tartini Festival,

Casalmaggiore Music Festival, Daejeon Chamber Music Festival Korea,

Festival Gstaad, Bronislaw Huberman Violin Festival,

Musikfestival Heidelberger Frühling, Trame Sonore Festival in Mantova,

Vielklangfestival in Tübingen, Valdres festival in Oslo. 

 

 Soo-Hyun awarded from numerous international competitions, including the International Competition Carl Nielsen-4th prize and the prize for best Danish Interpretation, Concours de Genève-3rd prize as Abel Quartet,

International Competition Johannes Brahms-1st prize along with the Specialprize at the chamber-music section and 2nd prize at the solo violin section on the same year,

International Violin Competition Fritz Kreisler- 4th prize and a Specialprize,

International Violin Competition Citta di Brescia- 3rd prize and Specialprize. 

 

Born in Korea and raised in Austria,

Soo-Hyun was accepted to University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna at age 9, where she studied with Dora Schwarzberg and was supported by

Tokyo Fondation, Thyll-Dürr-Stiftung and Fondation Obermer.

After her solo studies of violin, she is currently majoring chamber music with

Johannes Meissl at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna.
